Conquering Code

Computer programming or more commonly referred to as coding surrounds us daily. Whether you’re posting on Instagram, uploading an app, building a website, or even swiping your debit card, these are all a result of coding. Although computers are advanced, they do not know how to do things on their own. They need written instructions to help them run properly. They need code.

What Exactly is Code?

Code is the specific set of instructions a computer can understand. Think of it like baking. When baking a cake, it takes exact amounts of different ingredients mixed in a particular order so that the final product will come out how you would like it too. Coding works the same way. It takes exact amounts of numbers and letters that create a language mixed in scripts to help create a final result.

Not as Simple as it Sounds

Computers, just like humans, have a language of their own. This language is called machine code. Frankly, this language is made up of various numbers and letters that let the network know what you are trying to create. There are multiple programs, each with their style of language, that can be useful when using code; this includes Java, C Language, C++, C#, PHP, Python, Ruby, and much more. Although computers are becoming increasingly smarter, they can not perform the job by themselves. They need a programmer to tell them what to do.

Programmers are Important

Programming has been a highly sought profession since the inception of computers themselves. Having the ability to write code and communicate with the network opens up a whole new world and is extremely beneficial in today’s industry. With the help of programmers, companies can launch their websites that help communicate their product or service to the world. Programming is necessary to help create software and applications that help with computers and mobile users every day.

Without coding, computers would be of no use for us in any way, shape or form. A world without coding means no video games, email, Google, Smartphones, or Netflix. Coding is highly essential, especially with how much computers have evolved.
