Why I support: Basketcase has been a Downtown Dothan staple for many years. Out of all of the areas in Dothan they could have resided, they chose Downtown because they understand the importance of a thriving Downtown. They support other small businesses and are vested in the growth of Dothan.

Why I support: I’ve been going to Adventureland for over 20 years… first, as a teenager and now as a parent with two kids. We always have a great time!

Small Biz recommendation: Golf Plus
Why I support: Golf Plus has been around for over 30 years and was named one of the top 50 clubfitters in North America in 2020. They carry all of the latest equipment and their knowledgeable staff can fit you into the right clubs for your game. Their reputation draws customers from all over, and they recently expanded to open a second location in Panama City Beach, Florida. I like to go to Golf Plus over some of the big box stores in the area because I know that I’ll find the equipment and advice that I need.

Why I support: This ice cream shop has two locations, Enterprise and Ozark. It’s the best place to get delicious homemade ice cream or a yummy sandwich — all for a great price! I go almost once a week because you can get stamps on a rewards card and earn free ice cream.

Small Biz Recommendation: Stix and Cones / Dothan Ice Cream Company
Why I support: This is the perfect place to grab a quick and delicious lunch. I love to sit outside with a book when the weather is nice and people watch on Foster Street. The staff is incredibly friendly!
